Ummmm... was that what I THINK it was!?!

As I pass 15 and 16 weeks of pregnancy, the books are saying "Your baby is moving around a lot now, you should begin to feel him/her at anytime." And so... I've been stalking my belly for the last few days... asking my friends to describe the feeling in detail... and waiting. I've laid on my back... concentrating oh so hard on feeling that baby move... only to feel my heart beat pumping away - a little distracting!

Then... a few days ago... I was sitting at the computer and crossed my legs... blooop! "What was that!?! That didn't feel 'normal.' Let's try that again." *uncross legs, cross them again* Nothing. The next morning while Brandyn was getting ready for work... I manipulated my body in all kinds of directions... and FINALLY felt the feeling again. Its like that feeling you get when you're on a rollercoater ride... the flip-flop of your stomach... but... I was FIRMLY planted on the ground... no amsument park in sight!

Yesterday I felt the baby again about 3 times. I told Brandyn that I think I found a way to make the baby move so that I can feel it... his response "Well don't POKE it!!" Don't worry Brandyn... I'm not hurting the little guy... just enjoying the feeling of knowing he/she is there.

16 weeks and 4 days.

That is one of the hardest things to describe. It took Caroline moving during an u/s for me to realize what I was feeling.

You will definately know Baby C is moving soon enough. Just a warning, they will have you do a blood glucose test down the road, you may be sore the next day from all the sugar rush kicking Baby C does. On the same note, be careful how much sugar you have at one time. I was sore for three days after I had a large shake one day.

Ok figured out how to kind of describe it.

It feels like bubbles popping or moving around. You know the feeling you get when something doesn't quite agree with your system and you feel things "bubbling through" your large intestine? Kind of like that but in the lower abdomen.

When Baby C gets larger you can feel him/her roll and he/she will have distinct wake/sleep times (within an hour or less usually).

Oh, yeah. That was TOTALLY what you think it was!!! I always thought it felt like a string a pearls, but I get a bubble description too.

Tell Brandyn not to worry about poking it. I poked at both of mine the last couple of months. Dude, if they're gonna poke a foot or elbow out at me (especially in my ribs, thank you very much), I'm poking back! Not hard, of course, but enough to let me know, hey, stoppit!

No turning back now...you'll feel more and more all the time. I remember when Leslie kicked the first time. I was laying on the couch after dinner watching Will & Grace. I sat straight up and said Holy SH**!!! It's just too cool to describe.

And BTW, you look absolutely adorable!

How exciting to feel the baby! You felt it much earlier than I did, lucky girl. D was the same way about putting pressure on my belly, saying "don't hurt it". Funny men. You are looking so cute!

YAY! Isn't it irritating that you 'can't control it'? Irritating and oh, so exciting at the same time!
